Just purchased Corel Painter X. Version 11 is out now, so the price for 10 is dramatically less.
I got my first copy of Painter when Fractal Design owned the software 91-95 and the packaging was an actual gallon paint can. (See below). The software has changed somewhat over the years but the core is basically the same. It's by far the best software for achieving traditional fine art results. A stylus tablet is must!

I recently started having trouble 15" Mac Book Pro dual core display. I would see a color scrambled horizontal line *see image. I began monitoring the temp and noticed it was getting very high around 150 degrees, took approx 15-30 minutes then the display artifacts would appear and at times the computer would lock up or screen would go black. Well it turns out after about a year of running it in dual monitor mode with a 21" monitor the video processor was overheating. Since I no longer run it with an external monitor and the problem has gone away.

Dug this out of the archives cause I always get asked about this green upholstered furniture. It's a large seating bench/couch/booth at the SOL restaurant in downtown Franklin,TN.
I photographed Jason (owner) Using 1 giant octabox with a 1600ws strobe.
